About The Event
This clinic will be geared for those riders who are beginning in Working Equitation or are just curious about this discipline. We will also have additional/more advanced obstacles and a session specifically for riders who already participated in our summer W.E. clinic and are looking to expand their knowledge of W.E.
Please specify if you have prior W.E. experience on registration questions so we can group accordingly.
The discipline of Working Equitation, which is very popular in Europe, especially Spain and Portugal, is quickly growing in popularity in the US because of the unique blend of classical riding movements, reining movements and negotiating obstacles. Through the challenges of Working Equitation patterns, you will develop a better communication with your horse. Speed will not be the goal in this clinic. Instead we will concentrate on the "Ease of Handling" & "Negotiating Obstacles" portion of Working Equitation. Working Equitation obstacles will be used along with the prescribed patterns and methods of negotiating the obstacles along with the rules of Working Equitation.
This clinic will be divided into 2 hour sessions (max number of 12 riders per group) based on riding levels of students. Session times will be created & emailed closer to the date as we have people register. Max number of riders is 48 total for the clinic. Unlimited Auditor tickets available as well as a wait list for rider cancellations if clinic space fills. Online registration & prepayment required. PayPal through website or mailed check received prior to Nov. 10th, 2018 for riders.
Negative coggins, helmets, liability waiver, & proper tack required. Stallions must be pre approved by host and marked with blue tail ribbon. No excessive use of spurs, crops, or force by other means will be tolerated, at discretion of the clinician(s). No dogs allowed, no exceptions.
