The discipline of Working Equitation, which is very popular in Europe, especially Spain and Portugal, is quickly growing in popularity in the USA because of the unique blend of classical riding movements, reining movements and negotiating obstacles. Great fit for children & adults- any safe tack. Western, English, Endurance, Hybrid all welcome.

Through the challenges of Working Equitation patterns, you will develop a better communication with your horse.  This clinic will be geared for those riders who are beginning in Working Equitation or those who are looking to expand their limited experience for their first W.E. Show. (ERC also hosting W.E. Schooling Show September 19, 2020). 

Speed will not be the goal in this clinic. Instead we will concentrate on the "Ease of Handling" & "Negotiating Obstacles" portion of Working Equitation. Working Equitation obstacles will be used along with the prescribed patterns and methods of negotiating the obstacles. Grass footing in outdoor arena. Restrooms, horse water, covered picnic area, & drinks for sale. Bring your own snacks/lunch.  

Clinic will be divided into 1.5 hour sessions (max of 4 riders per group) w/ mixed riding levels within each group. Session times will fill on a first come first serve basis, chosen when you purchase your tickets. Session times are 9am-10:30AM, 10:45AM-12:15PM, 1:00PM-2:30PM and 2:45PM-4:15PM.  Schooling the course after the last session will be allowed by clinic riders. 

Max number of riders is 16 total for the clinic so register & pay early to reserve your session preference. Unlimited Auditor tickets available. Wait list for rider cancellations if clinic space fills.  Adult Riders $75, Junior riders (8-17yrs) $60, Audit tickets $10.  Instructor mic/speaker for auditors. Junior riders- select regular adult ticket and then enter coupon code listed for each session for $15 discount. Rain date August 29th, 2020.

RULES: Negative coggins, helmet, liability waiver, & proper safe tack required. No stallions unless pre approved by email with host and marked with blue tail ribbon. No excessive use of spurs, crops, or force by other means will be tolerated.  Rule calls at discretion of clinicians.
